Coquito's is a Puerto Rican restaurant located in the heart of the art district in Orlando, Florida.
Coquitos Latin Grill emerges as a visionary concept, an ode to the flavorful heritage of Puerto Rican cuisine, conceptualized for the dynamic and diverse palates of today's youth. Beyond just a restaurant, Coquitos is a cultural fusion, weaving together the warmth of familia, the excitement of modern trends, and the irresistible allure of Puerto Rican sabor.
With all projects that I start with I start it by creating a word map and break down what words, sentences, feelings that I want to portray with this brand. Using things like color theory and word association to accomplish this step.
Next I start with coming up with sketches and getting the ideas onto paper. Note not all ideas are good ideas, but nonetheless they deserve their space on the sketchbook.
In the end I decided to use the colors of the Puerto Rican flag this brings a more familiar tone to the brand and to add the pop of color I kept the color of the flower. This can be used in the branding of the products and packaging.
